FAQ

DO YOU WORK ALONE?

Most of the time, YES.
I am more than capable of doing this on my own, but
if you have a really big day planned full of details and
special items going at the same time, then I'd recommend
including a 2nd photographer, to capture the extra little details.

Are you the right photographer for us?

Good question! Hopefully you’ve taken a good look through my web page and have a pretty good idea of my style of photography + edit. It's so important that you love what you see here. If you're after candid, authentic images, filled with love, life and emotion, then I'm your gal!

Can you help us with our timeline?

Yes I absolutely can. I have great experience in what the ideal times are to allocate to specific things, and what timeline will help you capture what's most important to you. So let's talk about your day!

Do we have to pay a deposit to secure your services?

Yes, to secure your date, you'll be asked to make a non-refundable deposit of $1000.

What if I don't know all the details yet?

Not a problem! Sometimes we don’t always know all the details of how exactly the day will play out at the time of your booking. That's ok. The package you lock in can be adjusted closer to the time if needed.

How long till we receive our final images?

Great question! I work hard to deliver as soon as possible after your wedding day. My usual turn around time for wedding edits is 6 - 8 weeks, but for all other shoots, 2 to 3 weeks.

A FEW TIPS FOR YOUR PHOTO SESSION

BE OPEN

Being in front of the camera can make a lot of people uncomfortable and, that being said, it's really important that you come to your engagement photoshoot with an open mind and an open heart. What do we mean by coming with an open mind and heart? You want to make sure that you let a level of your real emotions come through, so that means you need to let yourself be in the moment and be genuine because that is what makes for beautiful photos.

WEAR SOMETHING COMFORTABLE

This is kind of a big one - especially if you are nervous about being in front of the camera like most couples are. Wearing something that you are comfortable in for your engagement photoshoot, is an easy way to make sure you aren't focused on how you look but, instead, on your partner. If you are wearing uncomfortable shoes or you wore an outfit that feels too formal for your personality, your distraction can show up in your photos. So, pick out an outfit that looks and feels like you, but at your best!

DON'T WORRY ABOUT LOOKING GOOD

Don’t distract yourself with the constant thought of “Do I look good?” The answer is, “Yes, you look great!” You should focus more on having fun during your engagement photoshoot and enjoying a wonderful afternoon with your fiancé rather than “looking good.” Your engagement session is about capturing this special moment in your life and all of the joyful emotions around it—and being happy and in the moment is the key to looking great.

BE PLAYFUL

It’s always important to know that we will give you direction and prompt you with quirky questions and que's when you need it, but the best way to end up with pictures that you'll love is to be playful and natural. I'll encourage you to explore the location, have fun together, take in the moment and the views / surroundings, make time stand still and breathe!

IT'S NOT ABOUT ME

Remember that the shoot is about the two of you and not about the people behind the camera. My job is to capture images of you and your spouse-to-be, and your job is to act almost like we aren’t there. The best pictures are the ones where you and your fiancé are really focused on each other and being in the moment, so use my direction but remember to be natural and focus on only the two of you.

JUST BE YOURSELF

And lastly (and perhaps most clichéd), just be yourself. There is no reason to be nervous. All you have to do is be yourself and stay in the moment. I'll capture the magic that happens when you do!
